Health Sciences Librarian
As the librarian for Health Sciences, I provide instruction, collection development, faculty liaison, and reference assistance for students and faculty in the following academic programs at NYU: College of Nursing, Department of Communicative Sciences & Disorders, Department of Occupational Therapy, and the Department of Physical Therapy
For students, I can:
- Suggest research strategies and sources
- Provide instruction using library tools
- Direct you to an appropriate library research guide
- Answer questions via email, phone or in-person
- Meet with you individually to discuss your topic or help you apply research strategies
For faculty, I can:
- Serve as a Blackboard/NYU Classes site "instructor" to link your course to library-related materials
- Deliver in-classroom curriculum-integrated library instruction
- Recommend sources and strategies to integrate research skills into assignments and coursework
- Create a LibGuide tailored to your class assignments
- Purchase books, license electronic resources and other material needed for your research
- Act as a liaison communicating the college or department's concerns and needs to library administration
- Consult with faculty on specialized literature searches for research studies, grants, and systematic reviews.
