Doing Education Research at NYU

This guide is meant to give an overview of materials and resources available at the NYU library for researchers in Educational Leadership. Use the tabs above to find useful resources for finding articles, background information, and more.

QUICKSTART:

Ready to jump in? Here are the top 5 things to know about starting your research in Education

Article literature is expansively indexed by the two main databases in the education field, ERIC and Education Fulltext. Search them simultaneously by going to Education Full Text with ERIC

Get background information by using the classic subject encyclopedia in the field, The Encyclopedia of Education

Statistical information is often central to educational research. Visit the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) to find data on all facets of education

Managing all the materials you find is a key to success. Use a tool like RefWorks to save, organize and output all those citations.

Ask me when you get stuck! I'm here to help you with your research needs, just use one of the contact modes to the right to get help
