Reviews of Research and Book Reviews
Review materials are a good way to familiarize yourself with trends and key ideas in current psychology. These are usually annual or monthly cumulations of articles or citations to articles that give you a brief summary of research and findings.
- Annual Review of Psychology. Stanford, Ca.: Annual Reviews. 1950 to date. Articles review significant developments in research, theory and practice in psychology.
- PsycCRITIQUES. Washington, D.C.: American Psychological Association. Critical reviews of books, films and other media relevant to psychology. It replaces the print journal Contemporary Psychology and the database contains the contents of the journal's backfiles.
- Annual Review of Gerontology and Geriatrics. New York: Springer. 1980 to date.
Articles discuss contemporary issues and review research in the physical, social and mental processes of aging.
RC952.A1 A56 - International Review of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Chishester: John Wiley & Sons. 1986 to date. Like the Annual Review of Psychology but with a narrower focus.
