Arts Administration Research

The field of arts administration is highly interdisciplinary. To find subject-specific content on related topics, see the associated Research Guides. For example, students interested in researching Museums and Museum Education should consult the Research Guide for Education.

Visual Arts Administration Databases

The following represent recommended databases for visual arts administration research.

  • EconLit provides indexing and full text of lengthy articles in Economics, including the economics of art collecting and related topics.
  • ABI/Inform indexes journals, magazines, newspapers and other materials of interest to arts administrators' both for- and not-for-profit institutions covered.
  • PAIS is particularly useful for research involving arts and public policy, urban renewal/revitalization, etc.
