PICO Sample Searches
When constructing a research question, the PICO format is widely used for questions of therapy.
Frame your question to include:

| P (patient/problem) | hospital infection |
| I (intervention/indicator) | handwashing |
| C (comparison) | no handwashing; other solution; masks |
| O (outcome of interest) | reduced infection |
Including the PICO elements in your question will help you to approach the literature search in a focused way as a first step to gathering evidence.
