Course-related Bibliographic Support
NYU Libraries has 28 subject specialists who develop the Libraries' collection. They can:
- help identify online books and journals and recommend databases relevant to your syllabus
- provide advanced research assistance via email or IM chat to you and your students
Recommend a Book
Coming Soon. Faculty at NYU's global sites can recommend electronic books and other digital content that support the curriculum on their campuses. NYU Libraries-NYC will work with its vendors to locate ebook versions of current titles. Whenever possible, these titles will be added to our eBrary platform.

Use the Library Linking Service
- NYU Libraries staff will place links to the Libraries' licensed e-journals, e-books, databases and freely available web sites on a "Course Reserve" list under your name and course number in the Libraries' catalog, BobCat. Clicking on the link will give your students access to the full text.
- Use the Course Reserve Request Form to submit your request for the library linking service.
- Note: This method is a good option for faculty who want to make readings available to their students but don't have a Blackboard site. You can place one link to the list of readings on any website. If you don't have a class webpage, just direct to students to search the Course Reserve tab in BobCat.
- This is also an option for Blackboard users who do not want to bother creating the links. Library staff will create the links for you and send you one URL that you can post on your Blackboard site.
- More information about the library linking service, including submission deadlines, policies and procedures.
