New Service!
You are now able to request print articles and book chapters from NYU Library collections to be delivered electronically.
If the article or book chapter you have requested is owned by Bobst Library, please indicate in the “Notes” field that you are abroad. If your request gets canceled, please contact the Bobst Interlibrary Loan department at ill@library.nyu.edu
What materials cannot be requested?
At present, NYU Global Library Services are limited to print materials from the Bobst Library collection that can be delivered electronically. We do not accept requests for:
- Videos, audios or other non-digital media
- Books or journals from other NYU or Consortium library print collections
Document Delivery for Articles & Book Chapters
How do I access articles or book chapters not available online?
NYU students and faculty at NYU's global campuses may request electronic delivery of articles and book chapters held at Bobst Library, at Bobst Library's offsite facility, or at another institution.
Offsite materials must be requested through BobCat. Instructions for requesting materials from offsite can be found here.
Items owned by NYU Libraries (not offsite) or by other institutions should be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
Click to submit a request for an article or book chapter. (You'll need to enter information from your NYU ID card.)
* If the article or book chapter you have requested is owned by Bobst Library, please indicate in the "Notes" field that you are abroad. If your request gets canceled, please contact the Bobst Interlibrary Loan department at ill@library.nyu.edu
How will I receive my article or book chapter?
You will receive an email with a link to the scanned article(s). Typical turnaround time for article requests is 3 business days.
NOTE: This assumes that all local and visiting faculty already have NYU NetIDs and passwords. We need to clarify how remote users "activate" their cards to be recognized by the ILL and BobCat e-shelf systems. We are working on this.
